Natalie Gulbis reports from Singapore
An excerpt from Natalie Gulbis’s blog, after finishing up the Lexus Cup (team competition):
I just finished playing in the LEXUS CUP. The format is similar to the Ryder Cup or Solheim. Two teams. The international team that was captained by Annika Sorenstam and the Asian team which was captained by Grace Park….Annika asked me to be her assistant captain so I was thrilled to be asked to help with the players and picks for the week….The second day I had the chance to play their same pairing but this time with Annika. We shot 6-under as a team and won 2-up. It was a really exciting match. The highlight for me was knocking in a 20-yard eagle chip on #16 to go one-up and then birdied 18 to close them out. On Sunday singles I won my match 5 and 4, but we fell short as a team losing by one point.
