Does the PGA need to do more outreach to African American golfers?
In honor of Black History Month, ESPN has an interesting discussion about Tiger’s influence in opening up the game of golf to minorities.
Tiger Woods is the only African American golfer who plays full-time on the PGA tour, and he’s really half-Thai. According to Ron Sirak, there were 10 African Americans on tour thirty years ago. If accurate, these numbers are really disconcerting, and a problem for the PGA.
