Mark Calcavecchia bogeys way to first win in 2 years
It wasn’t pretty, but it’s still a win. Mark Calcavecchia bogeyed two of the last 3 holes, but clung on to a one-stroke lead over Heath Slocum, who missed a 3 foot 10 inch putt on the last hole, playing with Calcavecchia. It was an excruciating loss for Slocum, who last week had to console his high school teammate Boo Weekley after missing a 3 foot 3 inch putt on the final hole of regulation to lose the tournament (after a playoff). I wonder what the two will talk about this week?
Mark won the PODS Championship. I never heard of PODS before, or this tourney. But I do know it’s not sponsored by Apple.
