Geoff Ogilvy wins Mercedes, wire to wire
Geoff Ogilvy did his best to kill the Mercedes Championship for good by making it a noncontest this year. Ogilvy won wire to wire, and was never in doubt on the final day. Ogilvy finished at -24, 6 shots over Anthony Kim and Davis Love III.
Given how boring the tournament was, Golf.com’s rumors that Mercedes won’t sponsor the tournament in 2010 probably should be given some weight now. Thanks, Geoff!
