Leave it to Tiger Woods to overshadow Phil Mickelson’s 8-under 63. Tiger posted an announcement on his website that he’s coming back next week, while Mickelson posted a 63 to lead the Northern Trust Open @ Riviera. Guess which got more media coverage? You got, Tiger Woods.
This is the first low round Phil has shot in 2009. The Golf Blog does wonder if Phil is trying to debunk our theory that his poor play this year is due to his loss of weight and loss of his man boobs. We shall see.
