Tiger Woods and Roger Federer developed a special friendship when both men were considered the best players in their sport, perhaps ever. But then a funny thing happened in the last two years, upstart Rafael Nadal rained on Federer’s parade and started beating him not just on clay, but on every surface, including grass and hardcourts where Federer supposedly had the edge.
This past weekend, Nadal’s dominance over him was too much for Federer to bear. After the match, Roger was reduced to crying uncontrollably. Here’s a photo.
In fact, Tiger Woods was never been in the kind of situation that Federer now faces: someone else has overtaken not only No.1, but has also owned him on every surface. So what advice can Tiger give to his friend Roger?
Well, here’s one piece of advice Tiger can give: “Roger, consider getting a coach!! I was stubborn at one point and didn’t have a coach after Butch, but then I started working with Hank Haney. The best decision of my career.”
Dear readers, what else should Tiger tell Roger?
