The Golf Blog says: Tiger Woods says he made a mistake in playing the Players Championship, where he reinjured his knee and Achilles. It was a “borderline” call to play it. Tiger said he won’t come back until he’s 100% healed. Both are healing, says Tiger, but he needs to strengthen them. Tiger has no timetable on when he’s coming back.
In response to a question whether Jack Nicklaus’s record 18 majors seems more unattainable now, Tiger shot back: “Absolutely not.” Tiger pointed out Jack won his last at age 46, and he’s currently on the same pace as Jack. (Tiger’s right about the pace–click here for the Tiger v. Jack chart–both had 14 majors at age 35.)
The big news: Tiger is sporting a new beard.
