The Golf Blog: Tiger Woods says he can’t play British Open because of knee injury
The Golf Blog says: Tiger Woods is sitting out his second major in a row due to a knee and Achilles injury he suffered at the Masters after hitting an awkward shot from pine needles.
Tiger announced the decision on his website (click here). No doubt hearing the murmurs from the golf pundits about his quest to catch Jack Nicklaus’s record 18 majors, Tiger said: “I think my best years are still ahead of me, and I’m very confident and optimistic about the future.”
Let’s hope Tiger is right.
