The Golf Blog says: Tiger Woods had a response for Greg Norman, who criticized his selection to the President’s Cup (click here for the story). Tiger convincingly won the key singles match that clinched the Cup for the U.S. team. But he has remained silent until now about Greg Norman’s earlier criticism. Tiger said on his blog:
“When I got to Royal Melbourne for The Presidents Cup, it was quite interesting because the people who questioned me being on The Presidents Cup team were not the players [insert: Captain Greg Norman]; they wanted me on the team. So when we came together, it was pretty neat to receive a warm reception and see how excited they were to have me be there with them. It was great for Fred Couples, too. Fred stuck his neck out for me, and I was very grateful that he made me a captain’s pick. To be able to secure the clinching point for the U.S. and play as well as I did down there was special for both of us.”
Give props to Tiger for taking the high road again, just as he did when ex-caddie Stevie Williams jokingly made a racial remark about Tiger at a caddie dinner.
