The Golf Blog says: Left Achilles’ injury. Three dreaded words that could end up derailing Tiger Woods’ quest to beat Jack Nicklaus’s record of 18 majors. On the 12th hole at Doral, Tiger called it quits after feeling tightness in his Achilles during warmup. Tiger’s had 4 surgeries on the left knee, so the chronic problems he’s had with his left leg is ominous news.
This is a huge disappointment. Tiger seemed to be rounding into form this year. If this injury keeps on creeping up, Jack’s record is safe.
