The Golf Blog says: It took two holes of sudden death playoff for Bubba Watson to win his first major. Louis Oosthuizen led for most of the day after making a miraculous albatross on the par 5 third hole (click here for the video). For most of the round, it looked like Oostie could do no wrong.
Bubba put a charge on the back nine, birdieing 4 holes in a row. Augusta really must set up well for lefties. After missing a chance to win on the first hole of the playoff with a short putt of 10 feet, Bubba finally won it on the second playoff hole hitting a fantastic sweeping shot from the woods. As Bubba put it during his presser, walking down the fairway to his ball in the woods, he said, “If he has a swing, he has a shot.” Click here for the video of the amazing shot. From one creative lefty to another, Bubba plays a lot like Phil. When you go for broke, sometimes you fail, but sometimes you break through. Way to go, Bubba!
