The Golf Blog: Phil Mickelson shoots 79, withdraws from Memorial citing fatigue and poor play
The Golf Blog says: After Phil Mickelson shot a 42 in the back nine at the Memorial tournament, he wasted no time in withdrawing. He cited his fatigue from his busy schedule, which included being in France last week to celebrate wife Amy’s 40th birthday, and his poor play. He said he needed a couple days off and work with Butch Harmon to get ready for the U.S. Open.
