The Golf Blog: Video Tiger Woods fist pump after pitching in on 16th hole to win Memorial
The Golf Blog says: Tiger Woods birdied 3 of the last 4 holes to win the Memorial Invitational, including a dramatic pitch in on the par 3 16th hole with water lurking in the background. Jack Nicklaus, tournament host, called it the best shot he’s seen at the tournament. Woods unleashed a humongous fist pump after the pitch in, and then proceeded to increase his lead on the 18th hole with a birdie.
The victory marked Tiger’s 73 PGA Tour win, which ties Jack Nicklaus’s career record. It was also Tiger’s 5th victory at the Memorial. Nicklaus congratulated Tiger on the final hole after Tiger finished his round.
To all the Tiger doubters out there, Tiger gave his official reply. Next up: U.S. Open.
