Augusta National admits first two women as members: Condoleezza Rice and Darla Moore
The Golf Blog says: Big news in the world of golf. Augusta National Golf Club finally admitted its first two female members: Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and financier Darla Moore. The admission comes after this year’s awkward circumstances in which Augusta still had no female members, despite a major sponsor of the Masters, IBM, being led by Virginia Rometty as its CEO. This day has long been overdue.
