The Golf Blog says: Jack Nicklaus took to Twitter to congratulate Rory McIlroy for his outstanding season, including the PGA Championship victory and now Player of the Year award. He’s only the third European to win the award and second youngest (next to Tiger Woods). Said Jack: “Wonderful talent with an even brighter future.”
Rory tweeted back: “Thank you, Mr. Nicklaus.”
