The Golf Blog says: Sergio Garcia started the final round with a 3 shot lead. It wasn’t enough. The lead evaporated within the first four holes as Rory McIlroy put on a birdie barrage. Rory finished at -15, while Sergio fell back to -13. With the win, Rory becomes the new World No. 1 golfer, displacing Adam Scott. Rory is the favorite going into the PGA Championship at Valhalla this week.
