The Golf Blog says: OK, as far as we can piece together from the media reports from several witnesses and the police, it looks like Robert Allenby may not have been kidnapped. He may not have been even beaten. Instead, according to one witness, Allenby may have passed out outside the wine bar he was at earlier and hit his head on a rock after passing out. At some point while he was passed out, someone may have robbed Allenby of his wallet including credit cards because someone did in fact charge over $20,000 on various items. The Honolulu police are investigating the robbery and credit card fraud, and reportedly have a suspect, a homeless man.
