Rory McIlroy had gone 80 straight major rounds with at least one birdie.

The Golf Blog says: The first marquee matchup between Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy was reminiscent of the pairing of Nick Faldo and Greg Norman in the 1996 Masters. Faldo shot 67, Norman 78. Yesterday, Spieth shot 73 (after giving up 3 shots in the final 2 holes) and Rory 77, but it wasn’t as close as it looks. For most of the day, Rory was no match for the course or for Jordan Spieth.
Instead of weightlifting as much, will Rory now focus on his golf game? Spieth does not look like a bulked up weightlifter. Nor does Bernhard Langer for that matter.
